Travel and Leisure magazine have published their “Worlds Best 2007″ awards. Readers were asked to vote for their favourite city, island, hotel, airline, cruise and more.

Of the results of the top 10 cities of the the world Bangkok came in at number 3 after Florence at number 1 and Buenos Aires at number 2. Bangkok beat off Rome, Sydney and New York at 4th, 5th and 6th consecutively.

Bangkok was not the only Thai city to appear in the top 10. Chiang Mai came in at number 3 out of the top 10 Asian cities after Bangkok reached number 1.

Chiang Mai was voted for again in the top 100 hotels with the Four Seasons Resort in Mae Rim, Chiang Mai coming in at number 19.

Phuket was also voted in at number 8 in the most top 10 Islands of the world. Thai airways received the number 5 award in the worlds top 10 airlines.
