Another small earthquake hits Chiang Mai

An earthquake of 4.5 scale struck Mae Rim, the northern district of Chiang Mai around noon on Tuesday, causing panic among those in staying high rise buildings.

The quake took place at 12.06pm, according to the Meteorological Department but noone is reporteted to have been hurt.

Today’s quake followed a tremor that took place on Monday in Mae Hong Son, measured at 4.2 on Richter scale. Its centre was reportedly on the Thai-Burma border.

There are currently no report of damages.
